    History of NLL  

1954

 

New Life League, Japan is established by American Missionary Fred Jarvis in a rented house in Tokyo, Japan in 1954. A tabloid sized Christian magazine entitled "Showers of Blessing" was New Life League, Japan's first publication and is a magazine NLL, Japan still publishes today.

1959

 

New Life League, Japan begins printing.

 

1960

 

New Life League, Japan purchases a small plot of land in Niiza city, Saitama prefecture.  The work of evangelism through publication materials officially kicks off.

1970   1,000,000 Gospels of John printed and distributed at Osaka expo.  
1977
 

Started using rotary press.  Started to Publish many Christian materials starting from Chinese Bible.

1978
  Missionary Roald Lidal inaugurated as the third general director.  
1991
  With the fall of the Iron Curtain, New Life League begins printing Russian New Testaments. More than seven million Russian New Testaments have been printed to date.  
1995
  New Life League, Japan sells its original Tokyo property, purchases land in Hatoyama-machi, Saitama Prefecture, and builds a new, modern printing and publishing facility at this new location.  At the same time, a new Mitsubishi single-color web press is installed.
2001
  Mitsubishi 4 color web press purchased.  
2004
  50 year anniversary for New Life League, Japan!
